Difficulty - 7/10
This game isn't very difficult at first, but after a while you will need to level up in order to beat certain enemies and bosses. There are many puzzles, some of which took me a long time to figure out.

Gameplay - 8/10
The gameplay of Golden Sun is good. It plays like your traditional RPG with turn-based combat, world map travel and magic. There are a few downsides to the gameplay. When you use spells out of combat, they occasionally do not go where you want them to, resulting a small loss of PP. When using Djinni in combat, it is often confusing to know which ones will result in which summons, and if you attack an enemy and it dies before you get to hit it, instead of attacking another enemy, it will set that character to defend. This often makes fighting even a simple group of enemies an annoyance.

Graphics - 10/10
These graphics are incredible. They are the best I have ever seen on the Game Boy Advance, and are even better than many Super Nintendo games. The towns have a very unique feel to them, and the different spells are very fluid and vibriant.

Replay Value - 6/10
Goden Sun becomes fairly boring after you have played it through. The cinemas become boring and take far too long, the puzzles become less challenging, and the story is not as exciting.

Sound - 9.5/10
The music and sound effects of this game are the kind that I would expect of a game for the Playstation or Nintendo 64. The battle sound effects are great. The only bad sound effect is the voices of the characters, but they have the option to turn it off, so it doesn't really matter.

Story - 7/10
This story is interesting, full of side quests, but nothing incredibly special. Golden Sun introduces a new idea, Djinni. They are small creatures of different elements; Earth, or Venus, Fire, or Venus, Wind, or Jupiter, and Water, or Mercury. When equipped to different characters, they give different abilities. The main downside to the story is that it is very drawn out. You will sometimes forget what you are supposed to be doing and end up wasting a lot of time.

Overall - 8.5/10
This is a very good game. Although it is rather short, all of the time that you will be playing, you will be having fun. I would reccomend this game to anyone who owns a Game Boy Advance.
