In the future, a young net-battler named Lan, boots his 'personal exploration terminal' (PET) and prepares to hack into the network to battle net crime. Lan's PET is no ordinary network naigator. It's Mega Man.EXE, the cyber-identity, which infiltrates the crime-ridden network to battle destructive computer viruses. Defeat viruses in real time and collect Battle Chips program data, containing valuable weapons data and critical system info. Collect over 175 Battle Chips to help Lan and Mega Man.EXE restore peace and order to the network.

This game is very interactive and allows you to jack into many devices. Control is simple and the battle system is exciting.

The graphics are great. Battle effects and enemies look wonderful and characters look really good as well.

This game is good a second time around. The story becomes rather boring, but combat and puzzles remain entertaining.

The music of Mega Man: Battle Netowork is upbeat and interesting. The sound effects are great, and it is overall pleasing to listen to.

Story - 5.5/10
The story of Mega Man: Battle Network is simple and somewhat corny. It is the year 20xx. PETs (Personal Terminals) are owned by nearly everyone and computers are common place. You are a boy named Lan, you go to school and lead a fairly normal life. Your PET is named Mega Man.exe and you are friends. The WWW are an evil organization bent on taking over the world, and somehow, you always end up being the only person able to defeat them.

Overall - 8/10
Mega Man: Battle Network is a wonderful game. The graphics are incredible and the gameplay is terrific. It is somewhat easy and simple, but it is a must have for any RPG fan. It is extremely interactive and should keep you playing for hours.
