Super Mario World is a challenging game. The controls are simple and easy to use, the enemies range from being very easy, to being extremely difficult. If Mario or Luigi is large, has Yoshi, has a Cape, or can throw fireballs, you will have a much greater chance of beating the level.

Gameplay - 8.5/10
This is a typical side-scrolling adventure game. You use items such as Mushrooms, Feathers and Capes to make you more powerful. You collect coins to gain lives and can ride Yoshi. Super Mario Bros. has been added to this game and it is the same as the original.

Graphics - 7.5/10
The graphics have been cleaned up quite a bit from the original. They have not done any spectactular new effects, but it still looks very good.

Replay Value - 8/10
Super Mario World is a fun and exciting game. It is enjoyable time after time. You will discover hidden paths that you originally did not notice, and will find interesting and new approaches to defeating enemies.

Sound - 8/10
The music of this game is wonderful, although it does become somewhat annoying after a long time. The sound effects of this game are also very good, and the general sound quality is good as well.

Story - 7/10
The story of Super Mario World is simple, and fun. Mario, Luigi and Princess Peach have come to Dinosaur Land for a vacation. While Mario and Luigi are goofing off, the Princess dissapears. They find Yoshi and he says that Bowser has captured his friends as well. You then set out on a quest to kill Koopas, rescue Yoshi's friends and save the Princess.

Overall - 8/10
Super Mario World is a great game to have, especially if you enjoyed the original. I suggest that you rent this game, and see if you like it before you buy it. You should enjoy this game very much, and with 96 levels, it will keep you playing for a long time.
